Forged tube sheets for heat exchangers and pressure vessels

Forged tube sheets in carbon, low-alloy and stainless steel for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, high-pressure feedwater heaters, condensers and reactors. Supplied as-forged, rough-machined or finish-machined and drilled to your drawing, with full material certification.

Forged for integrity under pressure and temperature

A forged tube sheet has a refined, homogeneous grain structure and is free from the laminations that can occur in thick plate. That makes forging the preferred choice for thick-section, high-pressure and high-temperature tube sheets, and for designs where tube-to-tubesheet welds and ligaments must perform reliably over a long service life.

Applications

  • Shell-and-tube heat exchangers (TEMA BEM, AES, BEU and others)
  • High-pressure feedwater heaters for power plants
  • Reactor and loop reactor tube sheets
  • Waste heat boilers and process gas coolers
  • Condensers and reboilers

Testing and documentation

Every tube sheet is supplied with full traceability from melt to finished part.

  • Chemical analysis (ladle and product)
  • Mechanical testing: tensile, impact (including low-temperature impact where required) and hardness
  • Ultrasonic testing (UT) of the full volume
  • Magnetic particle (MT) or liquid penetrant (PT) testing of machined surfaces
  • Dimensional inspection report
  • EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate; 3.2 with third-party witness on request
  • Material compliant with the EU Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), including AD 2000-W0

Why order your tube sheets through HEAVY-FORGINGS.com

Finish-machined from one source

Forging, heat treatment and machining at one plant reduce handling, interfaces and lead time.

Heavy sections

Large presses and furnace capacity allow thick and large-diameter tube sheets that many forges cannot produce.

Pressure equipment documentation

PED-compliant material and 3.1 certificates, ready for your design and inspection file.

One European contact

REVROK handles technical clarification, quotation and order follow-up, from drawing to delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply tube sheets fully machined and drilled?

Yes. Tube sheets for pressure vessels are typically supplied finish-machined to drawing, including tube holes.

Which design codes do you work to?

We supply to EN 13445, AD 2000, ASME Section VIII and TEMA requirements as specified in your order.

Do you supply 3.2 certificates?

Yes, through an independent third-party inspector. The inspection cost is charged at cost.

What is the typical lead time?

For medium-size rough-machined tube sheets, manufacturing typically takes from approx. 45 days, depending on material availability. Finish machining and drilling add time depending on complexity.

What information do you need for a quotation?

A drawing or sketch with dimensions, material grade, design code, testing requirements, quantity and required delivery date.
